  1. Buy 12 ton jack stands with 30 inches lift for the front frame goal was 26 inches of clearance under the frame. Then 6 ton stands which I had for under the rear axle housing.
  2. Drain the transmission
  3. Lower the sway bar take the front bolts out the front drive shaft
  4. Remove the rear drive shaft
  5. Remove the transfer case cooler from the frame
  6. Remove the transmission cooling lines from the trans
  7. Remove the heat shield from over the starter then make sure to disconnect the battery terminals
  8. Remove both skid plates
  9. Remove the Starter
  10. Disconnect the wiring harness from the trans.
  11. Remove the dip stick tube
  12. Loosen the exhaust clamp and remove the bracket from the bell housing
  13. Disconnect the shift down cable from the throttle body
  14. Remove the fan shroud and fan clutch
  15. You may want to do steps 12 and 13 first
  16. Remove the the bottom plate from the bell housing
  17. Use a breaker bar or large rachet with a socket on the crankshaft bolt to turn the motor so you can remove all the torque convert bolts. If you have good engine with lots of compression you want to remove your sparks plugs before the jack the unit up.
  18. Next is the transmission jack, I bought the biggest one Harbor freight had 2 ton unit on sale for about $230.00. Cut a piece of half inch plywood to span both pans and supported the trans.
  19. Next was the take the 4 trans to cross member bolts and then the 8 bolts in the crossmember and remove it.
  20. Lower the back of the trans and start removing the bell housing to block bolts.
  21. Use a medium pry bar to make sure the torque convertor stays in the trans and you pull it away for the engine lower the unit
  22. Next was to replace the rear main seal.
  23. I'm to old to do this stuff.

If I missed any stages of the removal I edit it later.

I have back to gether and it works great.]]>

I also bought their Dual Mig 151 which is 220 volt and will go as low as 30 watts but I haven't wired it yet.

I just started using my small 115 volt unit to weld up the rust around my windshield. It worked but it meant a lot grinding afterward to smooth it out.'

I really should wire the bigger one and get some argon gas for it.]]>

I've also removed the entire dash and repainted it.
